Day 1
Ride past a 13th-century farmstead, fields of wildflowers and sparkling lakes • Eat, drink and be merry at one of Bavaria’s most beautiful biergartens, where locals go to enjoy comfort food with views • Discover the natural playground of Lake Tegernsee • Settle into our chalet-inspired Relais & Châteaux digs.
Night 1
Situated at the foothills of the Alps on the shore of Lake Tegernsee, this cozy Bavarian chalet is surrounded by nature. (pool, spa)
Days 2-3
Welcome to Austria! More dreamy riding lies between mountains and lake along the shore of blue-green Achensee • Cycle a tiny road twisting through an Alpine valley • Hop a ferry to a lakeside lunch • It's two sports in one day as we leave our bikes behind to explore trails with enticing lake views • Dine at one of the cozy eateries in the ski village of Neustift in Stubaital, our home for two nights • A gondola ride sweeps us high up onto the alp for a day of hiking in the flower-filled hanging valley of Pinnistal • Experience Austrian hospitality over your favorite beverage at an evening Stammtisch (round table) with local friends.
Nights 2-3
Cozy, jewel-like interiors worthy of a Wes Anderson film are the hallmark of this luxurious lodge reminiscent of old Austria. The other hallmark is the extravagant spa filled with pools, saunas, and carefully decorated indoor and outdoor spaces. A Relais & Châteaux member. (pool, spa)
